Finally The Preacher’s Payday has arrived. Well, not the actual Day, just the book about it.

Giddy with delight, and basking in God’s graciousness to me, I got to grasp in my hand a copy of my first (Lord willing) published book. In seminary I became fascinated by the future judgment day for all believers, called the Bēma Seat judgment in 2 Cor 5:10.

I was intrigued that though Christians can never be condemned for any sin (Rom 8:1), we will all give an account of our faithfulness in this life, and be rewarded accordingly (2 Cor 5:10, 1 Cor 3:12-13).

What are the rewards? Can I lose rewards? Is everyone “equal” in heaven? What deeds are judged? What can I do in this life to invest in eternity? What I have a small ministry compared with others? Isn’t it better to serve God without rewards?

I’m glad you asked.  It’s all covered.

The title is meant especially to lure those who teach the Bible in any capacity (pastors, parents, Sunday school teachers, etc.), but it covers the concerning questions any believer may pose about the future judgment.

    This is an absolute MUST read……Clint’s style is as always thoroughly captivating, there is not one dull paragraph in this book! The Biblical challenge from this book to personal godliness in the light of the bema seat is probably the biggest single challenge I have ever faced in my Christian walk. It has impacted on every decision as I now consider all my thoughts and actions in the light of Christ’s scrutiny and eternal rewards as I have never done before. While I was previously satisfied to rest on my full justification and lack of condemnation through the cross, I am now fully persuaded of the need for so much more as a child of God. The desire to live every public and private moment for His glory has been greatly increased since reading this book.
